I can't believe this 500 pages binder book has arrived at my doorstep! This book only stopped at Screwmount bodies and a catalogue of Takumar screwmount lenses.
Quoted from the preface: "This is a general guide to photography from the vantage point of the owner of a Pentax camera. It covers the entire scope of picture-taking principles and techniques, including selection and use of lenses, perspective, composition, exposure, flash and other artificial light, treatment of a wide range of subject situations, achievement of unusual effects, and the creative potentials of the darkroom."
There's also quite a number of colour photos taken by Pentax photographers from Europe, the Americans and the Orient.
OK, its abit much, i will take my time to read it and hopefully more inspiration out from this book.

Cat Lovers
I apologise to everyone if these cats are too common and overshot and overposting. These cats are all shot in my area, and there are few cat lovers feeding them relentlessly everyday. I enjoyed my conversation with the ladies and thanks to them, these cats are neutered (indicated by left clipped ear) and living happily healthily around our vicinity. Of course, there will be some heartless people trying to pierce their beautiful eyeballs which i totally detest, i hope i will be on watchful eyes to make sure they are not harm in anyway. This is a tribute to the cat lovers ladies and all the cat lovers here in DA!
The Weather
When one complains about gloomy sky or raining cats dogs for the next few days unable to go out and shoot, i have the guts to tell you that i will be experiencing monsoon season for the next few months. How about that? Even when there's no rain, i'll hardly get to see the clear blue sky anymore, the cloud just stayed there and pisses everyone off. The good thing is the rain drive the heat away. I will find a way to do my photoshoot soon, i hope. The K-7 is still on hiatus...
K-7 on hiatus
Yes, i bought a Pentax K-7 along with the FA 50mm F1.4 lens despite all the negative comments i read around the forums. Walk with her for the first 2 days and realised i became a MG (machine gun) gunner. I took 3 to 4 shots of the same frame everytime and keep checking back the LCD to see if i've nailed the exposure. I told myself probably this is my first acquired dslr so i should be doing this. I rectify this 'trigger happy' problem through the use of my Takumars and yes, it did help a little. Maybe the best bet to this problem is to use a 512mb SD card? That'll definately limit my shots to around 36 exposures.
Anyway, back to be a 'sharps
Film Scanner or a DSLR?
I'm imposing myself to use a specific lens for a month or two to understand its capability and its limitations. I'm also having a dilemma of investing in a film scanner or a Pentax K-7. An Epson V500 would suffice my budget and it cost $400. This dilemma actually doesn't make a fair comparison but sometimes my heart tells me to get a K-7 and mount that damn Takumars onto it! I bought a Fuji Provia 400X on impulse that cost me $12. Anyway, i have an assignment due soon and tons of readings to do... it's 2am now...
